OUR STORY

Everything Revolves Around You

Our Boutique Physiotherapy & Reformer Pilates studio works differently, because we know that not every person is the same. That’s why we offer a completely tailored approach so we can empower you to feel your best.

From point of injury through rehabilitation, enhancement of function leading to a level of performance greater than ever before, your journey could start anywhere and that’s where we are here to help.

Revolve was created by two kiwis who after a decade abroad knew it was time to come home to influence better health for their local community. With one-on-one guidance we take a holistic approach to address your needs to help you get back to your best. With access to Physiotherapy, Clinical and Reformer Pilates classes, we believe this can provide our clients with the resources to get to a place where feeling great is the new normal.

Thank you for coming on the journey with us.

MEET THE TEAM

DAN FORD

Co-founder & Physiotherapist

  • Dan is one of the proud co-founders of Revolve. A passionate and forward-thinking physiotherapist with a strong desire to help his clients achieve outstanding outcomes. In other words, he just wants to make your life better.

Dan is a Bachelor of Physiotherapy graduate from the University of Otago with over 11 years experience in private practice. He has worked at several different clinics over this time which has helped him gather a thorough understanding of different people and their needs. He enjoys working with people from all walks of life but has a particular interest in treating lower back and pelvic girdle pain. He is also a Clinical Pilates instructor and has a keen interest in the biomechanics of the body.

Dan has undertaken further studies in the diagnosis and treatment for conditions of the spine, ribcage and pelvis. He loves to work with complex lower back pain clients, and believes his skillset can assist with the management of these conditions. He is a firm believer in the power of healthy movement practices for injury recovery and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Outside of work, Dan is a keen cricket player, having played the vast majority of his life since he was a young boy. He also enjoys keeping up a base level of fitness in the gym for healthy living. It was his love for sport and movement that got him into physiotherapy altogether!

AMY DAVIES

  • Fellow proud co-founder of Revolve Physiotherapy & Pilates, Amy is thrilled to be offering a service to the Kāpiti Coast community that she grew up in. You will find Amy instructing the reformer Pilates group classes, along with managing the daily running of the studio. After almost 10 years of working in the Community Services sector, Amy is passionate about empowering and supporting others and is looking forward to guiding you on your health and fitness journey with Revolve.

Amy enjoys being active herself - running, bush walks, getting out on the water - and of course Pilates! Amy was introduced to reformer Pilates whilst living in Melbourne and thoroughly enjoys it for the low-impact, full-body workout it offers, in addition to the mind-body connection that both enriches her pilates practice and her movement in everyday life.

Amy undertook her Pilates training in Melbourne with Unite Health, and is an APPI (Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute) certified Matwork and Reformer Pilates instructor.
