Revolve Physiotherapy & Pilates (‘Revolve’, ‘our’, ‘us’ or ‘we’) - Privacy Statement:


Your privacy and the security of the information that you provide to us is important and we take the privacy and security of our users of Revolve Physiotherapy & Pilates services seriously. 

Personal information we may collect about you:

How we use personal information we collect about you depends on the purpose for which it is collected. Personal information we may collect about you includes: 

  • your name, address, date of birth, emergency contact, email and contact details

  • information about other health professionals involved in your care

  • other health information about you such as: a record of your symptoms, your relevant medical history, the diagnosis made and the treatment we give you:

  • specialist reports

  • test results

  • your appointment and billing details

  • your prescriptions

  • other information about you collected for the purposes of providing care to you.

Providing personal information to enable the provision of our services is optional, however should you chose not to provide us with certain information (for example information we consider necessary to meet our obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 to keep you safe) you may not be eligible to receive our services or we may not be able to provide you with certain services that are available. 

Who may we collect personal information from:

We will generally collect personal information about you in these ways:

  • directly from you when you give us your details (eg, face-to-face, over the phone, via email or our website, via the third party online booking systems, client consent forms or an online form).

  • from your referrer or other healthcare providers involved in your care (i.e your GP, nurses, consultant, midwives), with your consent. 

  • from a person responsible for you. 

How information is used: 

All personal information received from you will be used for the intended purpose of providing you with our service; this may also include lodging a claim with ACC, referral to radiology, or communication with other healthcare providers. We will not disclose your personal or health information to any other agency or person without your permission, unless disclosure is required or permitted by law.  

We may also use your information for the following purposes: 

  • notify you about changes to our service

  • to provide customer care and support

  • to detect, prevent and address technical issues

  • to verify your identity for security purposes 

  • to communicate special offers and information about our service

  • to collect fees or monies owed

  • or as otherwise necessary to contact you in relation to our Terms & Conditions and/or Privacy Policy, for any other agreement we may have with you, as well as for any legal reasons. 

For these purposes, we may contact you via phone, text messages, email and postal mail.

Storage and Security:

We take reasonable steps to ensure your personal and health information is kept secure and safe from loss, as well as unauthorized access, use, modification or disclosure. We have put in place suitable electronic procedures to secure personal information, however no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, can completely guarantee its absolute security. If you suspect your personal information may no longer be secure or has been compromised, please let us know immediately.

Third-party practice management software: 

Revolve uses two third-party client management softwares - Nookal (for Physiotherapy & Clinical Pilates classes) and StudioBookings (for general Reformer Pilates classes). To book a service with Revolve, you will create an account through Nookal or StudioBookings (dependent on the service you are seeking) and your personal information will be provided. The physiotherapist will also use Nookal to record clinical treatment notes during and following your appointment with us. The pilates instructor will use StudioBookings to record any relevant information to provide optimal care and support when you are engaging in our pilates services.

The collection and use of personal information by Nookal and StudioBookings is governed by their individual privacy policies. Please ensure you review and understand their privacy policies prior to providing your personal information and making a booking. 

We do not collect or retain any of your credit card details. We engage third party service provider, Stripe, to provide all credit card and debit card payment services (for online payments only). Please refer to Stripe’s security policy for further information prior to making a booking and providing your payment details. 

We do not have control over the practices of the third-party service providers that we engage (as above), but have taken all reasonable steps to confirm that their levels of data protection meet those required by New Zealand law. 

Other third party sites:

Our website or other online pages (i.e Instagram) may have links to other websites from time to time, which are not owned or controlled by us. These links are solely shared for the convenience of you only. Please be aware that Revolve is not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites. We strongly encourage that you read and understand the privacy policies of those third-party sites before choosing to engage with them. 

Access or correct personal information:
You have the right to request access to, and correction of, any information held about you. You can contact Revolve Physiotherapy & Pilates if you wish to request access to your personal information, correct or update your details. If you have any privacy concerns, please speak to us. 

Changes to Privacy Policy:

Please be aware that we may make changes to this Privacy Policy. We may modify this Policy at any time, in our sole discretion and all modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the modifications on our website. It is important to continue to review our Privacy Policy on our website for the latest.

By engaging on our website, or receiving our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Statement, and authorize the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Statement and in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code 2020.
